Responsible Play
Royal Resort Hotel is committed to providing a safe, responsible, and enjoyable entertainment environment. Our promise to every guest is that entertainment remains a pleasure — never a problem.
"Entertainment is a form of leisure. Always set a budget before you begin, play for enjoyment, and never chase losses. If it stops being fun, it's time to stop."
Our Commitment
Royal Resort Hotel operates its entertainment facilities under licence from the UK Gambling Commission. We are committed to the highest standards of responsible play and take our duties as a licensed operator with the utmost seriousness.
All of our entertainment floor staff undergo mandatory Safer Gambling training, and we operate a comprehensive responsible play programme in accordance with UKGC guidelines and Social Responsibility Code provisions.
Setting Limits
We encourage all guests to use the following practical tools to keep their entertainment enjoyable:
- Set a budget before you begin your visit and stick to it. Decide in advance how much you can afford to spend on entertainment — and treat that amount as the cost of an enjoyable evening out.
- Set a time limit. Decide how long you wish to spend on the entertainment floor before you arrive. When your time is up, stop — regardless of outcome.
- Never chase losses. If you lose your budget, accept it as the price of an evening's entertainment. Never borrow money to continue playing.
- Balance entertainment with other activities. Our resort offers dining, spa, live entertainment, and much more — make the gaming floor just one part of your visit.
- Speak to our team if you have any concerns — our staff are trained to assist with sensitivity and discretion.
Self-Exclusion
Royal Resort Hotel operates a self-exclusion programme in compliance with UKGC requirements. Any guest wishing to exclude themselves from our entertainment facilities may do so by speaking with our Entertainment Manager or by contacting us directly. Self-exclusion periods of 6 months, 1 year, or 5 years are available.
All self-exclusion requests are treated with complete confidentiality. We also participate in the GAMSTOP national self-exclusion scheme for online facilities.
STRICTLY 18+
All entertainment facilities at Royal Resort Hotel are available exclusively to guests aged 18 years and over. Challenge 25 is in operation — all guests will be asked to provide valid ID (driving licence, passport) if they appear to be under 25. Refusal of entry is absolute if age cannot be proven.
