Dining at Royal Resort
Culinary Excellence
A Feast for Every Occasion
Our four distinct dining venues have been created to complement every mood and occasion. Led by Executive Head Chef Marcus Ellwood, the Royal Resort culinary team draws on the finest British produce, estate-grown herbs, and international influences to create menus that are as memorable as the setting.
The Crown Room
The jewel of Royal Resort's dining offerings — a refined fine dining experience where classical technique meets contemporary British creativity. A seasonally changing tasting menu celebrates the finest produce from across the British Isles, paired with an award-winning wine list curated by our Master Sommelier.
The Garden Terrace
An informal yet elegant brasserie-style restaurant overlooking our formal gardens. The Garden Terrace celebrates seasonal British produce with a lighter touch — perfect for leisurely lunches, pre-theatre dining, or a relaxed evening before exploring the rest of the resort.
Noir Supper Club
As the evening deepens, Noir comes alive. Our late-night supper club combines a theatrical dining experience with live cabaret, ensuring that the pleasures of the entertainment floor need never interrupt those of the table. Serving from 10pm until the last guest departs.
The Velvet Bar
Intimate, sophisticated, and always buzzing — The Velvet Bar is the social heart of the resort. Our award-winning mixologist team craft bespoke cocktails to order, while the kitchen produces elegant small plates and light bites from noon until the early hours.
Our Culinary Team
Led by Passion,
Guided by Craft
Executive Head Chef Marcus Ellwood joined Royal Resort in 2008, having trained under Michel Roux Jr at Le Gavroche and spent three years refining his craft in Paris. His philosophy is simple: let exceptional ingredients speak for themselves.
His team of 28 culinary professionals share that ethos — sourcing from a network of trusted local farms, estates, and artisan producers across the Midlands and Cotswolds, changing menus with the seasons and occasionally with the day.
Private dining experiences can be arranged with Chef Marcus directly — from a bespoke tasting dinner for two to a full kitchen tour and masterclass.
